Come check out the unbelievable variety of cross-country ski equipment at fantastic prices. New and used.
look at the payments we accept:
We take VISA, MASTERCARD, and CASH, but we prefer cash. If you choose to use CREDIT, you will be charged an additional 2% processing fee at time of purchase. We will be charging tax this year (sorry but it’s not in our control).
Sellers, do you have ski equipment to sell?
Bring your equipment to Philemon Wright High School: 80 Daniel-Johnson St, Gatineau
Saturday evening, from 5 to 9 p.m.
If you can’t make it on Saturday evening, please drop off your equipment Sunday morning, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
It will be busy as items are received. To make your check-in process go faster and give you that quick in/out experience, PLEASE download, print and complete the 2018 – Ski Swap – Equipment Registration Form with the details of the items you want to sell. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO DO AHEAD OF TIME. Thanks in advance….
Does it cost anything to consign my equipment?
Yes. There is a $5.00 consignment fee for each person wanting to sell items. If your equipment sells, we also collect a 15% commission on the sale price of each item.
What type of equipment can I bring?
We accept cross country skis, boots, poles, & ski clothing. We DO NOT accept equipment that has been poorly maintained or is so old that it pre-dates the first lunar landing. We humbly point out that our staff retains the right to refuse any equipment. Note that we will not be dealing in bikes or skates this year.
How do I know if my equipment has been sold?
Pay-out runs from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday. Check back in at the venue any time after 3:30 to see if your equipment has sold. If your item has sold, we will pay the value of the equipment less the 10% commission.
What if it doesn’t sell?
You can pick up your equipment any time between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. on the day of the SWAP.
I missed the pay out time on Sunday and didn’t get back to check for my equipment. Now what?
Equipment that is left behind becomes the property of Chelsea Nordiq. Please don’t miss the pay-out time!
My equipment sold and I missed the pay-out time!
If you miss the pay-out time, special arrangement may be made at the discretion of the club.
I can’t find my equipment on the floor and there is no record of the sale and appears to have gone missing. Now what?
We have numerous security people on site that work hard to ensure that equipment doesn’t go missing, however we cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen equipment. You can minimize your risk by ensuring that your items are securely tagged when you check them in. Please remember, many items that cannot be accounted for at the time of pay out are found during final clean up and accounting. If we find something that has been recorded as missing, we will contact you. But do note that we are not responsible for any items gone missing and sellers place goods in the ski swap at their own risk.
Any final hints?
Great deals can be found at the ski swap, but everyone wants in on the action. EXPECT the swap to be busy but organized. We have lots of room at Philemon compared to past years! PLEASE be patient and treat our volunteers with respect. They are working hard to make this a great community event.
