Junior Racers is a 12-month competitive cross-country ski program with the objective of enabling young athletes (14+)
to develop their abilities in ski racing, through a positive and motivating team environment. Club practices
during the Spring, Summer and fall consist of dryland training (rollerskiing, strength training, hill bounding)
in the Gatineau Park. Winter practices are on snow; skiers participate in local and 'away' races.

- TUESDAY Roller Skiing, 1.5 hrs, 6:15pm, P8
- THURSDAY Roller Skiing, 1.5 hrs, 6:00pm, P8
- SATURDAY Varied activities, 10am - noon, P8
- SUNDAY Roller Skiing, 9am-noon, P8
Note: Strength Training - A comprehensive strength program has been developed for the athletes. This work can be done
alone or in small groups. It can be done in any gym setting. Chelsea Nordiq coaching staff are present at A Step Up Gym in Chelsea,
Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 6:30pm. They can provide supervision and advice.

Cost: $600 (+ $70 for Provincial License) for the fall and winter
Additional costs: weight room, race fees, travel/lodging for out of town races/training camps(optional). A national race license is
highly recommended.

Fall equipment: running shoes, roller skis, ski poles, helmet, head lamp
